2. Scope
These Terms govern the use of the Sip ’n Bite website and the conclusion and performance of distance sales contracts, including ordering, payment, delivery, pick-up, withdrawal, complaints and returns.
3. Products and website information
Through the website, Sip ’n Bite offers boutique Bulgarian wines, gourmet products and related goods. Product information, including descriptions, images, origin, availability and prices, is provided for information purposes to assist the Customer in making an informed choice. Minor differences in colour representation, vintage, batch, packaging or labels may occur.
4. Age restriction
Orders for alcoholic beverages may be placed only by persons who are at least 18 years old. By placing an order, the Customer confirms that they are of legal age. Sip ’n Bite reserves the right to request age verification before processing the order or upon delivery.
5. Orders and conclusion of contract
An order may be placed as a guest, where the website allows this, or through a customer account. A distance sales contract is considered concluded when Sip ’n Bite confirms acceptance of the order electronically or begins its fulfilment. An automatically generated order receipt does not necessarily constitute acceptance; it confirms only that the order has been registered in the system.
6. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in the applicable currency and include VAT where applicable, unless expressly stated otherwise. Delivery is charged separately and shown before checkout is completed. Payment may be made using the methods available at the time of purchase, which may include card payment, cash on delivery, bank transfer or other options shown at checkout.
7. Availability and right not to fulfil an order
All orders are subject to availability at the time of confirmation. In the event of unavailable stock, delivery impossibility, suspected abuse, incomplete information or another justified circumstance, Sip ’n Bite may contact the Customer for clarification, offer a substitute product subject to the Customer’s express approval, or refuse fulfilment and refund any amount received.
8. Delivery and pick-up
Delivery is available within Bulgaria and to selected EU countries where such option is available. For Bulgaria, the indicative delivery period is 1 to 3 business days, unless stated otherwise for a specific product, campaign or period. Deliveries are usually made through Speedy, Econt or another suitable logistics partner. Where available, the Customer may also choose pick-up from location.
9. Inspection on receipt and damaged shipments
Upon receipt, the Customer should check the visible condition of the outer packaging and the number of parcels. If there are visible signs of damage, leakage, breakage, tearing or missing items, Sip ’n Bite recommends that the Customer ask the courier to note the issue or prepare a report where possible, take photographs and notify us without undue delay at info@sofiawinespot.com. Where transport damage, incomplete delivery or delivery in a non-conforming condition is established, we will offer an appropriate solution depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
10. Right of withdrawal
Where the Customer qualifies as a consumer, they have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the date on which they, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by them, received the goods, without giving reasons, except where the law provides an exclusion. To exercise this right, the Customer must send an unambiguous statement to info@sofiawinespot.com before the expiry of the period. The direct cost of returning the goods is borne by the Customer unless expressly agreed otherwise.
11. Goods for which withdrawal may be limited
The right of withdrawal may not apply in the cases provided by law, including goods liable to deteriorate quickly, sealed goods not suitable for return once unsealed for reasons of hygiene or health protection, and other situations expressly provided by law.
12. Complaints and conformity
Sip ’n Bite is liable for lack of conformity of the goods with the contract in accordance with applicable law. If a problem occurs, the Customer may submit a complaint by sending the order number, a description of the issue and photographs, where relevant, to info@sofiawinespot.com. Each complaint is reviewed individually according to the nature of the goods, the circumstances and the applicable rules.
13. Intellectual property
Texts, images, logos, design, databases and other content on the website, unless expressly stated otherwise, are protected and may not be used without prior written consent from Sip ’n Bite.
14. Liability
Sip ’n Bite makes reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and up to date, but does not guarantee the absence of temporary technical issues, interruptions, incompatibility with all devices or browsers, or minor content errors. This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
15. Personal data
Personal data processing related to the website, orders, deliveries, payments, withdrawals and complaints is carried out in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy page.
16. Governing law and disputes
Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria and applicable European Union law. Disputes shall first be addressed amicably and, if this is not possible, by the competent court or authority as provided by law.
